The Camaro is not listed in the recall, C7 is though, '14-'17 models.

NO NEW CAMAROS- as said above

In addition to all C7 Corvettes, the recall notice “16007 – Frontal Airbag and Pretensioner Non Deploy” also includes the following GM vehicles:

2014-2017 Buick Encore
2014-2016 Buick LaCrosse
2015-2017 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV
2014-2017 Chevrolet Caprice, Silverado, Trax
2014-2016 Chevrolet Spark EV, SS
2015-2017 Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe
2014-2017 GMC Sierra
2015-2017 GMC Yukon, Yukon XL
GM will notify customers with a letter and will provide an update to the software for free.

As in SS sedan not the Camaro SS.

I so hate that GM chose to name that car that. Hell even trying to inquire at dealers about the SS sedan they think you are talking about the Camaro. So deserved something more exciting and fitting.

Matter of time for a new model year and that goes for all brands with new model years.

From what I read about it, this latest recall affecting GMs is not the same as the other one affecting 33 million vehicles. This one the deploying mechanism doesn't explode. This one the airbag simply does not deploy. This one they just flash one of your onboard computers so there are no parts necessary and all the dealerships currently have the software.
