Anybody else try to get any info about ordering, and the 8th being the day order banks open?

My guy at my dealer is usually pretty good, with being honest about things. But when he told me he was told ordering wasn't going to start till October, I was very disappointed when I hung up 10 minutes ago.

Hoping he is wrong, but not looking good. Guess I will have to wait another month.

My dealer has tried to put in the order but Lansing Assembly keeps rejecting the order even though the order system is saying all of the parts are available for assembly. I'm sure order's will start to be accepted within the next 1.5 weeks with assembly dates probably 2nd or 3rd week of October for the 1LE and 4th week for the ZL1.

FYI- 3 dealerships confirmed with me order's will be accepted beginning of September.

This wait to order is killing me!!! I'm keeping myself occupied by buying all the other stuff I will need for the car haha ie. Sema grill, dark tail lamps, black bowties... Still wish I could jost order the car already!

If that's the case, I will be waiting until spring to order mine. No point in taking delivery in the throws of winter (Maine)

Yes. My plight here in Ohio as well. That was my realistic plan all along.

The benefit for us is seeing some different color combos out in the wild before we have to order. Haven't nailed that down yet.

But you have all the angst of waiting for production to begin so you can get your car. For those of us heading into winter it doesn't matter. It's a spring delivery either way.

There ya go, I tried to spin it the best I can.

Now, please buy a NFG, SW or SIM so I can start narrowing down my color.

Haha...I am having a tuff time with colors myself. I have it narrowed down to Hyper Blue, Summit White and Nightfall Gray.

On a side note, my dealer just called me. He can build the car, but not put anything through. As of yesterday he couldn't build it, so there is slight progress lol.

Obviously, I wish I was in your shoes and could place an order ASAP.

But I will enjoy the vicarious experience and hopefully it will allow me to make a better decision leading up to ordering in early March 2017.

I'll be attending the Cleveland Auto Show in late February, and it's a lot of fun going there knowing I will be days away from ordering MY car.
