Will trade FORD employee discount for GM discount. Any takers?

After a lot of shopping around and a lot of test drives, and even having access to the Ford employee discounting, I will be ordering an SS 1LE. Truth be told I think the Mustang is the slightly better looking car, but I'm more of a function over form guy so I chose the GM route.

I'm sure I'm not the first person who has decided to cross enemy lines to purchase a vehicle better suited to their wants and desires. HAHA!

So as the title says, I'm looking for someone who can supply a GM family and friends discount for me and in return I can supply them with a Ford discount.

We have access to 5 pins a year for vehicle discounts and haven't used a single one yet. So if someone here is willing to swap discounts please reply or feel free to PM me for my email address so we can iron out the details.

FYI the family and friends discount can't be applied for a GT350.

GM Employee discount is non Transferable.

Active GM employees, retirees, surviving spouses and divestitures are eligible to take advantage of the GM Employee Discount or sponsor the following purchasers:

Spouse
Children
Stepchildren
Grandchildren
Stepgrandchildren
Grandparents (including in-law and step)
Parents
Stepparents
Siblings (including full, half and step)
Mother-/father-in-law
Sons-/daughters-in-law
Brothers-/sisters-in-law
Aunts
Uncles
Nieces
Nephews

The only discount GM employees can give would be Supplier Pricing.

Then I guess that's what I'm looking to trade for.

You should disclose which plan you're offering, to gain the appropriate amount of interest. And program rules for Ford are 4 pins per year now, not that it seems it matters if you haven't generated any.

Ranked by how good they are:
A - Active Ford Motor Company employee
Z - Retired Ford Motor Company employee & survivor
D - Dealership employee
X - Indirect employees, partners, suppliers & clubs (anyone can get this)

It's hard to negotiate when your placing a custom order. They know you likely won't just walk away if the deal isn't exactly right because you will lose your deposit.

It's the X plan that I can give away. No not anyone can get this. Can't just walk into a dealer and ask for X plan pricing.

Thee are other discounts you can look for to see if you qualify. If your employer is a supplier to GM, you can get a discount. There's also discounts for military and for educators. Probably some others. You just have to see if you qualify. Even though people can often bargain for an equivalent price, the discounts often have limits on the amount of some of the other charges, such as the advertising fee.

I'm not as familiar with the GM discounts. Unfortunately my employer is not a supplier although I think we should be. We are huge partners with Michelin who obviously is a supplier to GM. Is the Costco pricing essentially a supplier discount? Is there a good resource to go look at to see what discounts may apply to me?

If you are even having to give anything more than a good faith deposit, find another dealer. I have never given any kind of non refundable deposit...
