Good deal on an Anniversary car?

Working with my local dealer on a 2SS Anniversary car, need some input if it's a fair deal, or not. Chevy has the 10% off 16's but have also tagged certain 17's with 4% off MSRP. My build stickers at $48,480, 4% off brings it to $46,540, almost $1K under invoice. Good deal?

I don't qualify for any added discounts, I have a $1K PO but it can't be added in this deal.

2SS Anniversary, automatic, NPP, navigation and sunroof.

The 4% is cash back, that should be exclsuive to the dealer discount. Meaning you should be getting ~$2000 off the car and then the 4%.

thanks for the info, not sure I follow though. Dealers telling me 4% off sticker, that's it, where does the other $2K come from?

The 2k give or take should come from dealer discount. Far as I understand it the cash back is from GM so the dealer shouldn't try to use that as the only discount.

Join the Farm Bureau, $500 off for that...

Apply for a GM credit card, $500 off for that as well...

I just saved you $1000. You're welcome.

Farm Bureau takes 30 days and can't be used with a private offer. If he's lucky enough to find a car with the 4% cash back and can get some money off the car that's probably the best deal you can get right now.

He said he can't use his private offer. They seem to be more open to using the farm bureau in many cases though. Forgot about the 30 day part...

$500 GM card he can use though, if you get approved.

For my 16 2SS I found the one I wanted that was 10% rebate, then I went on TrueCar and got a guaranteed savings for the vehicle. If you only take the 4% rebate, then they are basically charging you MSRP for the vehicle. Since it is one of the few 1LEs with a 4% discount, I would want at least $1k discount in addition to the 4%. In reality, you should be getting $2000-2500 off sticker though.

Thanks for all the info here! I have found out that we qualify for the GM supplier discount so that works better than the 4% off. On top of that I can use a PO for $1K that I obtained.

You SHOULD be able to stack the supplier discount in addition to the 4% rebate. Good luck!

This statement is all kinds of confusing;
1) you are comparing your 2016 deal (10% off) to a 2017 (which they are only offering at 4% off) it's apples and oranges. they are trying to push 2016's off the lot to make room for 2017's so they are offering more of a discount for them, simple enough, you can check truecar for 2017 2SS and average price paid is like $330 less than MSRP, no major deals to be found on next years model yet.
2) I have no idea what the reference to a "1LE" is all about, as those car's aren't available to be ordered yet and the OP is looking at an Anniversary Edition 2SS?

Basically you should be getting money off AND the 4%. If you're only getting the 4% the car is basically being sold at MSRP. If you're happy with the deal, that's all that matters at the end of the day.

My build stickers for $48,480, GM supplier price is $46,501, if I can snag a $1K PO for September that would bring it to $45,501, almost $3K below sticker. True Car right now has anything below $46,247 would be an "exceptional" deal.
