Cool Emblempros prototype dash plaque

Prototype dash plaque. Keep in mind this won't be the final arrangement or overall look. I just slapped some graphics on the piece to drive the point home. The final part will be fully customizable with logos and custom text/build info. These are crappy cell phone pics, but I want to keep you guys up to speed. More reveals coming soon.

The problem with this world is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be penalties for stupidity,
but why don't we just take the warning labels off everything and let the problem solve itself.

Like the idea. I think a plaque would be better somewhere above the glove box like older generations had too.

Tacky IMO, but I'm sure someone will dig it. Hell AutoZone sells tons of tacky chrome crap people stick inside and outside of their cars.Im sure coming from emblem pros it will be a quality product at least.

As I said, fully customizable. If you want logos, fine. It will also serve as a build plaque and HP and the like can be displayed. This mock up is simply something I quickly threw together.

I'd say you're onto something, but I'm deterred by two points on your prototype.

1. A lot of us hate the glare surfaces in there already and this will be worse (compounded by the display screen as well)
2. The coverage area needs to wrap wider and higher (to the stitch line to the right of the screen)

Thanks for showing us your latest project.

No glare. This is not a reflective piece, and it will be available in a variety of colors.

Going wider gets into a weird situation. The plaque actually conforms to a slight tray that actually exists on the factory controls. Going any wider breaks this natural barrier, plus the display starts to curve. This is not a curved piece, and I wouldn't recommend that.

Agreed. Like the idea, not a fan of the placement...

Gotta get rid of the "2SS." It looks like it says 255.

Do you know if that would fit with the 7" display?

It would not. I will make an attempt to get one sized for that, though. Thanks for the heads up.
