2016 2SS Silver Paint Issues

Hello, I have a 2016 Silver SS and have a problem that I have discovered is fairly common. The paint on the plastic parts (front and rear bumpers and rockers) doesn't match the rest of the car which is metal. They're all a shade darker. Several people at several Chevy dealerships have told me there isn't really anything that can be done because even if I have them repainted, it most likely will still not match because of the different material and other painting conditions. I'm a little surprised since most modern cars have plastic and metal parts and more often than not, match in color.

I also have what a Chevy paint expert called "modeling" on my front bumper. There are dark patches/spots on it that show up more or less depending on the lighting/sun.

I was told repainting the front bumper may fix the modeling but no guarantee the color will match any better than it does now.

Any thoughts/advise on this? Should I insist all of the panels get repainted or maybe just the one with the shadowy dark spots? Or, should I just leave it alone before I end up with something worse?

Thanks

Its called mottle, its when the metallic floats uneven...... Due to contamination or poor coverage....

Also my Gen5 Rally Yellows weren't a perfect match nor is my Gen 6 Hyper Blue. Parts are painted seperately at the vendors seperate from the body in the factory paint shop and shades can vary.....

My mud guards almost seem to be Blue Velvet, but they are not. They blend in together....

As far as a repaint, should match closer....

GM paying for it? not likely.... deemed acceptable......

Same exact paint formula can come out different for so many reasons. Humidy, elevation, primer color, etc. Although it does sound like maybe they didn't put enough base to cover properly on yours.

That's what the last paint shop manager I spoke with told me. we pay so much for these great cars you just want everything perfect but, I'm concerned that is I start messing with it, it will end up worse. I wonder if there is any type of surface treatment that will help with the mottle issue.

Thanks

The bumper not matching the body sheet metal has been an issue for decades and for as long as I can remember. It's not just a GM issue either.
