Agree.

Had my tire patched at Discount Tire a week after buying the car. Car has been drag raced, cut a 1.9 60ft, 3 days of autocross, seen 160mph multiple times, and have never had an issue.

once a tire has been patched, i tend to be a little careful with my speeds in fear it might blow out at high speeds. that said, i have also been 180 on a patched runflat a few times because i also like to party. lol i definitely dont see it as the smart thing to do but when the time arises.... i cant pass it up.

Natural selection at work.

While runflats are good to have, they stink as tires. I would not race or go over 80 on repaired tires.

I've tracked on a plug I put in myself by the side of the road.
Tire lasted all the way down to a bit of cords showing when I finally replaced them. (Not runflats, but I would feel even better about plugging a runflat, since if it should fail, the tire will run without pressure. )

Would love to find a quieter run-flat in our size that doesn't break the bank. These GY Asm3's are really noisy.

And if they are around you, Discount Tire road hazard FTW!

These things are quiet compared to the 888s I was running.

Snow chains are probably quieter than those. Not much of a comparison.
