Cooled Seats

anyone having problems with the seat cooling?

Mine doesnt seem to cool very well. Sometimes it doesnt work at all or only the seat portion works and not the seat back.

are they really "cooled" seats or just vented with a fan?

would be much nicer feature if they ran ac vent thru the seats.

sorry cant really help you, but good luck.

There just fans. You could try setting your ac to blow to the floor so the fans will pick up the cold air from the bottom. It's works better that way.

Pretty much that is the only way to get cool air down there. Kinda sucks in ways, my BMW had fans blowing AC directly so this was something i had to figure out myself after i felt just heat blowing through.

I think they are intended for longer periods of driving then they are the short runs.

They're not too good on long runs either.

I used vented seats today on a road trip and thought it worked rather well.

They are pretty ineffectual. It's been in the 90's in Texas last week and I could hardly tell if they were on or not. It does help if you turn the floor vents on.

Last 3 cars i had with cooled/vented seats, 2008 Dodge Avenger R/T, 2010 Nissan Maxima SE, and 2013 BMW 528XI, all of them had some type of independent A/C fan cooling system going through the drivers seat. The Camaro seems to just have fans in the seat as explained somewhere in a previous thread. I did pump the A/C on full to the floor as well but its just not effective or in anyway the same. Not a big deal nor in any way something to think too much about i feel.

They have pretty much met my expectations. It's not the opposite of a heated seat, but it keeps the sweat away.

Same design in the C7 border line ineffective...why bother putting a system in place that is only moderately effective...oh you mean like having backup alert and no front sensing ? Or an entertainment system that has to be reflashed 3 times to get stability.Sorry for the rant but this is such an amazing car in so many areas ...so close to being perfect ...corners have been cut IMO...

Agreed. It is not a "chilled" seat, but as it states a "ventilated" seat. The next gen will probably have ductwork tied into the AC system, but then there will probably be complaints that it is too cold.
