**** it, just do it, lets see what happens

just be patient, it sucks to behave, but if longevity is important to you, just wait, it'll be worth it.

Ya I know it sucks, but like others have said it's worth it. Had to do it with several sport bikes. Just pick a day on your day off that nice out and just go for a good ride and take plenty of stops to do your proper heat cycles. It's also good to get a good feel of the car before you start romping on it too.

Or you can drive it like you stole it. I've had lots of buddies do that too and only one of them had problems (which warranty did cover) I wouldn't recommend it though.

JUST DRIVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its more fun than watching it on a dyno,LOL!!!! Mine has 450 miles and I am Driving it the way I always will, I will NEVER run it to 6500 Every time I come to a Stop sign, And I will NEVER Idle around like The OLD MAN that I am. As long as you don't BEAT IT, You won't hurt it!!! Nuff Said!!!

Drive the car bro. I've never in my life had problems with any of my cars and I drive them hard from day one.

You should go full throttle here and there. That's a positive for the engine. The diff is where the breakin should be followed pretty well. The gears do need to wear without being over heated. You'll see a lot of that wear will have occurred by the first 1000 miles. A little bit will follow after that then it will all but stop.

Break in or no break in? I've yet to hear a sound mechanism for recommending it that isn't refuted with an equally sound argument. They apparently test these engines before they go in a car? Is there anything in that testing that would make one question the need for break in?

Someone help me understand this...

We did. Both of them. They put down great numbers and have been strong since day one.
