Wireless Charging

Hey guys,

So I've been trying to figure out how to use the wireless charging port. I've placed the phone faced up with the charging port faced the drivers side as I read in the manual and it hasn't worked. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is it the port?

Also, anyway to make it compatible with a 6 plus? Lol

Thanks for the help!

It also won't work on larger phones, even if they have wireless charging due to them not fitting correctly in the cradle.

That charge pad is mostly worthless at the moment due to few phones of correct size support wireless charge and the ones that do support it won't fit.

GM royally missed the boat on that thing.

It's in such a dumb location too. On the ATS, it's in a little cubby behind the center console and a bigger phone could easily fit.

I still think its a dumb technology. For the vast majority of people, you'd be just fine just plugging into a usb charger right there anyways. I know older folk tend to have trouble with that, but I'd guess a lot of them own iPhones over Droids anyways.

You can get little add on parts for some phones that will enable wireless charging.

Example: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D3K7UZW/

Note: I have not tired this myself.

Yeah. For phones without wireless charging feature, you need to buy a case that could do that. I got one for my iPhone 5s only for $15 online. Since you are getting a phone case, might as well get a wireless charging station at your house for another $20-30.

its also hard for phones with cases on them, i could rarely get it to charge. Then i took the pad off and phone sits in there and always charges now. Doesnt look as good but who cares, it charges. Samsung S6.

I find trying to use Siri for anything when its not plugged in is just as pointless. I have to be plugged in for navigation, and you cant get text messages without it plugged in.

I have a small case on my galaxy s7curved. I had to remove the rubber pad (which just pulls up) and charges just fine. Put the rubber pad back when not in use. It would be fine if I didn't have the small case on the phone which I think acts like an interference. Not going to keep removing my case that's for sure.

I have a S7 edge as well and my phone seems way too big to fit. I can't get it to charge as it sits with one side in the cradle and one up on the edge. I haven't removed the rubber pad yet... maybe that will help.
