Squeaking noise while turning

Have any of you experienced a squeaking noise while turning or taking a curve? At first it was a very faint noise and I attributed it to just a rattle but then I noticed that the sound is only made when the wheel is turned while driving through a curve. Now I am starting to hear the same squeak when I turn the steering wheel into a turn.

Any thoughts?

Is it from a cold start? If so there is a pretty large thread about this in the issues section already.

Ha!! They are the exact same. No it's not during a cold start it's a consistent noise.

Mine has had a squeak for a while, usually when coming to a stop/slowing down, even before I step on the brake pedal. Sometimes when turning as well. When I had my car in last week for the A8 issue and to check the oil pan tube retention recall, I asked them look into the squeak. They couldn't determine what was causing it, so I let it go for now. I can live with the squeak for now, but it is annoying.

is it on your right side or left or centered? and is it a rhythmic/pulsing squeak, or a consistent shriek?
I am having the exact same squeak, and same as you, they couldn't diagnose it either. hmm... anyone else?

yeah low speed squeek from passenger rear.. mostly wile turning slow..started around 1500 miles.

same, I think I hear it from the right, but I cant tell if front or rear right.

It appears to be on the right side, but could be more centered as well...hard to really pinpoint location. It is usually just 1 short squeak, pretty loud. It is usually on turning while slowing down, or when driving straight and slowing down, even before the brakes are pressed.

I can't figure out what it could be. First thought it was the known rear end issues, don't really think it is that. Not a NPP issue, don't think. It is not a brake issue...kind of annoying at this point.

EXACT same with me. My dealership was stumped.

Well at least I am not crazy now! lol...If it gets any worse or if anyone stumbles upon the source of the squeak, then I will bring it in. For now I am fine, especially having the A8 just reprogrammed, car is driving awesome now.

hmmm mine's a manual, so that may rule out the tranny. wonder what it could be? if it does get worse, I will be back to the dealership as well.. I'm just hoping that its not a sign of some major issue.
