Look on the brignt side, you can pay a little extra and get yourself a blade spoiler and have the exposed hole filled before they spray

That sucks for the OP. State law varies... I see you're from California. I'm not sure what the penalties are in Oklahoma where the OP is.

In Texas I could legally shoot the turd that did it for "Criminal Mischief Under Cover of Darkness" if caught in the act. Note I said legally. Morally is a different matter I'm not getting into here.

I hate humans…

In a neighboring town a few years back, all the expensive cars were spray painted with blue paint and keyed. Only the expensive new cars though, old hondas and hyundais were left alone.

You should be able to shoot one of these bastards if caught in the act.

probably kids, but who knows. There's an area out here that's fairly nice. Couple weeks ago an 18 year old was arrested. As many as 78 windows broken with a BB gun. last year it was a bunch of people in a neighborhood waking up with their tires slashed.

Sorry to hear OP. Hopefully there is a good paint/body shop and they can minimize any damage. And about the neighborhood, we tried that too. Nice neighborhood upscale homes outside the city. Then the market crashed which was great as we had no neighbors for years. Then they started selling the homes to anyone with a pulse and the demographics changed so we sold and moved 18 miles outside any city limits. Some people just can't stand to see others have nice things.

The issue is you MIGHT be able to do this but do you really want to be the next center of protests for the next six months for shooting a good boy who was just on his way to enroll in college and turn his life around from his three previous felonies and six pending charges?

Yes. Can't remember if they are acidic per say but something in their chemical makeup is round about corrosive to paint.
