Good stuff.....

Why would I want to disconnect a speaker?

More speakers does not always equate to better sound. And no one is forcing you to do this. Thanks for stopping by.

You lose a lot of audio content by doing that. In the old days, the center channel was created by summing the common content of L&R. But now, some of that common content is removed from L&R, and steered directly to the center channel.

I have never been a fan of center channel on car audio. The audio needs to be mastered for center channel which most is not.Just my opinion, some might enjoy this easy reversible mod. Try it before you knock it.

I might have been part of the design team.

I don't know what software features are in your vehicles Bose system, check in your audio settings menu and see if you can turn off the feature called Centerpoint. I'm not sure if the Camaro gets that feature.

I did the same thing with my 2010 2ss and installed some Focal components on the A frame. Used the center channel for onstar only. Sounded so damn good. I have an order in for a 2016 2ss. I have all my stereo equipment from the 2010 on stand by, waiting to see what the masses do with this head unit? Thinking about running something completely independent from the head unit. Maybe just an ipod with 2 amps, components and a sub. Leave the oem in place for now? Still using that Center channel for chimes...lol

I had upgraded the tweets on my 2013. The speakers don't look accessible without removing dash on the 16
