Is GM Addressing Your Issues?
Yes?...No? ...Are you happy with service and did they resolve the issues?

Yes, Yes and yes. Faulty fuel level sensor, two rattly npp's, buzz in exhaust shield, ghost tapping on touchscreen, all fixed.
But now I need to take it back because somehow my Android auto update only partially went through. Everything works(except Android auto) and it shows the correct software version but there's no Android auto option in settings and it doesn't work if I plug in a phone

My dealer has been great! Gave me a rental car, kept me informed, did quality work. My issue was a broken ground inside the insulation causing the car to not start without the key in the rear cup holder, and random other issues.

My dealer is aweful
I had brake failure, bad my link, a tire with a screw in it and a rebooting nav system. They had car for 3 days and literally only fixed the Nav system..sort of. Brakes have not been diagnosed and fixed so the car is a an accident waiting to happen My Link still won't work with Apple Ipods cause they are only the most popular MP3 player on the planet annnd they never fixed the tire and just claimed it was a bad pressure sensor even though you could see the screw!!! Reality is they down loaded a few up dates then parked the car on the back lot for 3 days so I felt like they did some thing and then just gave me back the car...ohhh but they did wash it..soooo that was cool Ohhh and when I reported it to Chevy the rep basically called me a liar even though I could send him pictures and video. Looking for a new dealer in LA area |

My trunk was slamming into my rear bumper every time it closed. Left a mark on the paint and caused the right side to stick out. The dealer said the issue was caused by my "aftermarket" Genuine GM Darkened Tail Lights......wtf....
I paid them to install the NPP rear valence as my car was non-npp at the time and they said they would "realign" the bumper for me.....They broke 4 tabs on my bumper and slapped it back on, the issue was even worse and they denied that they caused the damage. I wound up having to go in with Zip-ties and fix the issue myself. They did actually fix the trunk issue but refused to fix the 4 inch marred line caused by the slamming as "GM doesn't like to fix cosmetic issues". I just took my DA to it with some polish and buffed it out to about 90%. I love the cars that GM make but their service is borderline criminal. Don't buy GM if you think they will even remotely stand by their product.....

On my new 2LT, when I got the car in Sept 2017, I noticed on the convertible glass had like separation or delaminating from the adjhesive so the dealer I got the car from had the top replaced and did a good job but now after when I press the bring top down button I hear a loud clank sound and so not trusting them I went to a local GM and they said that they adjusted it but 1 out of 5 times it clanks sound. I guess it's so hard for them to get things right!

Dealers are addressing the problems... not GM for the most part.
My nearest dealer service is horrible, but lucky for me I have choices in the big city. Left it for an entire week last month and handed them the service bulletin and it still didn't get fixed. Just took care of the 15 min job myself. |

Hey there's an exhaust rattle. Here's the TSB. "Oh. Yea we looked at it. It had the rattle but it wasn't as loud as other cars on the lot so we're not fixing it." Yea, because the TSB specifically said it had to be a certain amount of loud before you had to quit being lazy and do something. My favorite was where they fixed the paint on the bumper and forgot to plug the sensors all back in so it was trowing a ABS malfunction indicator. They tried to tell me it was going to have to have the entire system replaced. I pointed out that there was a connection in the bumper that they probably didn't plug back in. The service tech argued with me about that for a good while and told me they'd need to keep the car for around a week while they waited on the new parts. An hour later they called me back and told me that the disconnected plug was the problem and it was good to go... ![]() ![]() ![]() The only two issues I have currently is that I still can't get them to figure out what the rubbing sound is up front going around 12-15 MPH and there's still a damn clunk somewhere up front still. It's not the end-links like most people have had. It's something else. I haven't bothered taking it in again because I figure it will be just as unproductive as the previous visits to the three places I've went so far. Had a couple of other issues but nothing really big. It's just a pain to bring it to a dealership and realize you're dealing with someone who knows less about the car than you do, and they couldn't be bothered to actually fix the issues and just want to claim "It's your imagination." That claim comes from the same tech who tried to tell me that the vibration/shimmy that happened on my 5th gen Camaro was the torque converter. You know, because manual transmission have those... I wish I was kidding.

I've tried to get the transmission fixed and all I get "cannot reproduce the issue" or "that's normal." I suppose it is "normal" is every piece of shit GM vehicle with the same transmission or technology is doing it.
I recently saw the picture attached comparing the Bolt, Leaf and Model 3. I realize this seems like a completely unrelated issue, but this is the data I am looking for on my Camaro to show how f'd up it is. The Bolt shows the same thing I am experiencing in the Camaro...inconsistent response from the car with the same input. Look at how consistent the Model 3 is compared to the scattered data points on the Bolt. The Leaf is much better than the Bolt as well. The stupidity is running rampant at GM. All the products are cursed with the same technology. Oh wait...oh wait...perhaps the transmission didn't adapt to the driver yet??? Yeah...that's it. ![]() Stop buying GM!!! All of them!!!
