Wireless charging
I want my S3 to work on the charging pad but the phone does not come equipped with that function. Is all i need a wireless charging tag, or do i need a special cover too?
Does the battery need to be attached to the phone to charge? Can i just throw a cell battery on the pad? Do you know if i can use a off brand extended life battery with the wireless tag? Or do the tags only work on the factory batteries? As you might be able to tell from all of these posts, i just bought my car yesterday and want to make sure im using all the features it offers that i want. I commend you for still using a s3. Have you thought about upgrading to the s7? Built in wireless charging!
As far as I know you'd just need a wireless charging capable case for the phone

I won't do a S6 or S7 as their price is higher than my monthly payment!
However I called T-Mobile and they hooked me up with a S5 that charges wireless and Pandora will launch when I press the Pandora button on the infotainment without having to Open the app on the phone. They had an awsome sale going on so I got it for $220. Talked them into free two day shipping too. |

I have the 6S Edge and it doesn't fit in the charging pad. I haven't had it in there long enough to know whether it works with a considerable gap between the bottom of the pad to the bottom of the phone. The 7S is longer than the 6S...not sure it would work.
