What does late 2016 mean to you ?

I have been waiting for the new ZL1 , and was totally excited when we heard the Camaro order banks were opening early. now I'm disappointed the the "late 2016" I think late 2016 could easily roll into early 2017.
So what does late 2016 mean to you ?

I'd guess then that ordering will open around August, same as 6th Gen.

I say 1st quarter of FY2017. So probably oct/nov of 16.

Usually, car companies operate in quarters....so it would stand to reason that "late 2016" would occur in the fourth quarter of the year...October - Dec.

6th gen 2017 ordering opens 3/31 production starts 6/6

It means we will see a handful show up around Thanksgiving, but most won't show up until after the New Year.

I'm quite sure that the date you are talking about is for NON-ZL1 models.

This is true. The generation's regular production will start at the dates listed. But the 1LE and ZL1 models are going to be slightly delayed from that.

Will order banks be open for them with late TPWs, or will they not accept orders until later?

Yup, my dealer told me 1LE ordering will open "around" August, with first deliveries starting sometime in October...probably the same for the ZL1.

Agreed...too bad, it will miss the 2016 racing season for much of the country :(
