Get two beers, go out, sit in your car, open up the owners manual and push every frickin button on the dash and you'll find it. This is not a sarcastic answer , people need to understand how their cars work, and It'll take you sitting down and looking at all the display options that are in the menus. Don't you want to know how your car works? When I pay for a feature I want to know that it's there , see it myself and work it myself.

To answer your question it's part of the vehicle/detection settings , once on and then it's automatic, the alerts are in the mirrors.....

What Glen said. It should have been enabled from the factory. If you're asking if there's some type of audible chime to warn you of a vehicle in your blind spot when you engage your turn signals there is none. It's only a visual alert that displays in orange on your side view mirrors. If it's not enabled, enable it under vehicle settings ---->collision detection systems I believe. Or look on page 136 of your owners manual. I downloaded mine to the computer and my phone. It's so easy to do a search or scroll to a page quickly when you have it in PDF. I highly recommend you do it. Takes only a few seconds to download.

I wouldn't call it lane change alert. I would call it blind spot detection or officially "Side Blind Zone Alert". Lane change alert sounds like some lane departure alert. My mirror warns me even if my blinker isn't on.

True, but they call it lane change alert , it's right there in the menu.

One of the best features in modern vehicles. I've had it in my past 3 vehicles, as well as my current 3 and I would never go back.

A friend of mine just got a brand new Ford Explorer Platinum and I've played around with it and love some of the features including the *real* lane departure, adaptive cruise control, self-parking, etc. The only thing he would have liked is Sync3, otherwise he loves it. (Looking at your sig)

As for the Camaro, as others have said, there is a light on the mirrors that illuminates when someone is in your blind spot. I've found that mine goes on and off when the car is wet or if it is raining... my first car with this so not sure if that is normal.

Didn't know this was in the settings and could be turned off. Went through them initially, but that was months ago. Definitely useful especially in this car with everyone complaining about the blind spots.

I remember my salesman saying there was supposed to be a beep that would go off if the car detected you were changing lanes with out a turn signal.

Well yes I have been through my owners manual several times. What I was referring to, is like on the Tahoe when you start to move out of your lane a warning light will appear on the hud in yellow. When your straight in your lane it is green. On the Tahoe it's called lane departure. When I look at the documentation on my camaro it says lane departure but I was asking is it was like that. But thanks for telling me to read my manual instead of asking questions here. I'll refrain from it in the future.

I'm not telling you to "read the effing manual"… Like we see here. The msnual can be pretty worthless at this stuff. I'm saying to go out and play with EVERY menu and go through them one by one and look them up on the PDF that you can put in your phone. It makes all these questions about features and things immediately understandable because you got your hands on them. Typing "lane" in the pdf search box of a pdf brings up page 21 & 232 in less than a nanosecond.

Ok, I dont want to get into a argument here, I like this forum, and I dont want to piss anyone off or get pissed myself and leave... I understand where you are coming from... I was only asking because I HAD been through the manual but couldnt figure it out.... but anyway, this is what I was referring to as far as lane departure... Its all good. Hope we can part ways as friends
