chance at 2016 1SS-price thoughts

Dibs on 2016 1SS gray/light cloth interior, automatic, NPP exhaust. Out the door, 39,130.70 that's tax, tag, bottom line.
Is that a good deal or not. They will hold it till noon tomorrow.
Thanks.

Yeah I'd say that's a really good price! MSRP before tax and tag on that is $39,685...

I don't know what you local taxes, dealer processing fees, and tag & title fess are but since the a base 1SS with NPP exhaust and A8 auto trans MSRP is $39,685, and the dealer invoice price is $38,017. I'd say an out the door price of $39,130.75 is a great price.

So you're saying the dealer lost money selling it to you?

36,500 OTD would mean it was around 33,500 before Tax and Tags..way below base invoice and having the holdback taken out all together.

See this is possible with incentives, however, there's no other way to get it that low. True dealer invoice for a 1SS 6M with NPP and black front/rear bowtie emblems is about $36,782. The holdback is $1,115.85. If say you received the $1,000 conquest incentive, then off dealer invoice that would now be $$35,782. This would mean that the dealer either cut into their processing fee or the hold back by $182.00. This is possible, if you stick to your guns, many dealers will cut into these areas to make the deal. However, I don't see it being possible without an incentive or rebate of $1,000 or better.

Also have to remember that dealers will lose money on one deal to make it on ten. Plus the monthly performance bonuses as well.

OP, if you want the car then freaking get it.

Sorry but I'd have to actually see a bill of sale to believe this, not to mention pretty much no car ever gets sold out the door for such an even number as $36,500. Dealer invoice on this car IS $38,017.00, holdback is $1160.70. Even GM Employee pricing (which must be verified) is still around $36,496.00. Without incentives, rebates, or rewards the dealer will LOOSE money selling this car below $36,856.30.

I have no idea what your taxes are and state tags, title, registration, and lien fees are but in MD they are 6%, and for this car tags etc are $279.00. So in order to be at $36,500 otd, they'd have to sell the car at around $34,250, and not include any dealer processing fees. Without incentives, rebates, or rewards, the dealer would literally have to go in the hole by over $2600.00. No dealership is going to do this, if they did, they wouldn't be in business long.

Mine was a little under 40k. I got $800 off list and $2050 from my gm card. Yes, good deal with taxes. Do and it you'll love the A8 auto, its awesome with the NPP and the LT1. Its all most identical to mine, except the exterior. Go for it and don't look back.
