"The Mustang EcoBoost weighs in at about 3,352 pounds." That's a misprint.

Very positive Camaro comparison for Camaro.

Think the writer needs to read up more on the subject. The RS package is an appearance option, the LTs use a standard suspension, and his EB PP weight is way off. So technically he should be comparing the LT to a base EB, not a PP one. What's he going to compare the 1LE V6 to? A GT PP? lol

lol. Does anybody else think the v6 1LE will keep up with a Mustang GT? I think it will be very close around a road course.

Considering a 2015 GT PP was only 4 seconds faster around VIR than a '10 Camaro SS, I think the 1LE V6 will beat a GT and come awfully close to a GT PP.

Great stuff...and coming from a Mustang oriented site. Mucho respect for them not just bashing the Camaro.

I left a comment regarding this...hopefully they fix it.

Doubtful. May not be WAY off, but the Mustang GT PP would be quicker. Now....compare it to a base GT....might be closer. GM did say the V6 1LE was comparable on the track to the 5th gen SS (not the 1LE)

Depends on course. If it is something tighter, I think it becomes a driver's race (which driver is better / braver).

That's the case with any car. We are talking same driver same course.

The amount of Mustang excuse making is strong on Mustang forum.. And here by a coupe folks.

Stock GT on 18 inch all seasons is not a corner carver.

Great article and I, too give them props for being more honest than aggressively hammering the Camaro as they might have done in the past. I just bought a 2016 2SS but thought hard and long about a dressed up RS. I think I would have been very happy with it...especially after this article. Did you notice, he didn't have a single comment about the visibility...first Mustang vs Camaro comparison that hasn't. That was always their fallback slam along with "it looks like sh__" comments. Way to go, GM.
