Extended warranty

Did anyone get an extended warranty when they bought the car? If so did you find GM online to do this or just the dealer? If you found it online can you all provide links for it? I only find random dealer sites. Then again I am bad at the Internet. Ha

Thanks
Stark

I got a 6 year 72K mile warranty. I usually don't, but being a new model and the dirt cheap price I got it for, I figured why not. I got my directly through the dealer, GM lots of times has really good prices, they are looking to see, so they will discount them or have deals on them.

Since I was offered 1100 for 100k miles... I got it. What a steal. On top of the extended warranty they added extra maintenance vouchers. I have 4 free oil changes, bunch of free tires rotations, tire warranty etc with it.

GEICO 1000 miles is about 100 a year. You have the first 15,000 miles to put it on your ride. So I'm gust doing the GEICO one. About the same deductible, I don't remember the details. I keep my cars anywhere from 1 year to 20 years. So lets just 5 years. I don't do anything the first year, I pay GEICO 100 year for 4 years or 400 bucks. If I keep the car I keep paying 100 bucks. When it 100,000 miles I do the maxlife oil and they extend the lubricated engine warranty FOREVER. I have it on the wife's van and she is at 250,000 miles... lol she loves the thing, I've change the trans and rebuilt the suspension, the engine is still perfect, but it is only a matter of time before the chain lets go. I'll know then if maxlife will actually honor their claim.

Well it looks like the engine is covered to only 300,000 miles, I hope she blows it up before then.

I got it for around $1200, with a $100 one time deductible.
