Your thoughts on the new 1LE news
So what is it that has you excited? The LT 1LE threw me for a curve ball in a good way. This has been something the V6 crowd has wanted forever. But overall the 1LE seems to offer everything we thought it would.
Now how about the price? My guess is a $6-7k package.

Blown away by the Standard equipment....
While it's a 1SS.... It's more like a 1.5SS due to key features of the 2SS being included... HUD, power seats, leather .... Options for Nav, Ambient Lighting, and PDR! Now the big question will be price... Even at $6,000 ... This package would be a steal... Save your beer money !!!

Awesome car but more than I would need and probably not a good daily driver. I'll stick with my standard A8 SS and hopefully pick up the wheels and seats from the 1LE depending on cost.

I like the V6 1LE option.
I think this will bring in a lot of younger peeps to the Chevy side of muscle cars. I basically made my 5th Gen V6 into a 1LE ...had everything from 1LE suspension, strut tower, SS brembos, ZL1/1LE tires.... By doing that I was able to grow with the car and eventually sell it and upgrade to the ZL1I have now. I think going from the V6 to the V8 on the track makes you learn the car better and help develop your track driving skills better. IMHO

I like it as a "Track Package" but wish that they would offer it in the 2SS.
They state that they are setting the bar higher than the competition and I think that is only half-true. As such, a 1SS+1LE only one-ups the base Mustang GT with Track Pack but doesn't do anything for people that are cross-shopping Mustang GT Premium with Track Pack. Most of us that are getting the Mustang GT Premium or Camaro 2SS are buying them because of the creature-comforts. The good thing is that the 2SS without the 1LE still trounces the Mustang GT Premium + Track Pack's performance...so right now, it isn't a big deal. But if Ford gets it's shit together for the mid-cycle re-design, Chevy might have to follow suit with a 2SS + 1LE. |

I just hope they keep it the affordable track car it was. I wouldn't even mind if they stripped it out z/28 style to do so.

Base 1SS: $37,295 (delivered) MRC: $1,695 Brakes: $3,175 Suspension: $800 (guess) Splitter: $550 Seats: $1,200 HUD: $250? Partial Leather rear seats: $250 Wheels & Tires: $800 (more than an SS) NPP: $895 Matte Hood, mirrors and spoiler: $250 Total: $47,160 (Guess) I am going to assume it isn't going to cost Chevy more money to make the blade spoiler over the current SS offering and same with some of the other items.

Bummed at no A8, if a Z06 can have an A8 so could this. I need a new DD to replace an SRT8. I have a 700hp M6 to play with already. Too much sitting in traffic, might kill the idea.

Surprised by e-diff. Want to see actual evidence of performance increase. PDR is dreamy.
