2SS Possible Electrical Issue
Left my cars and coffee meet up today and when starting the car a check engine light flipped on and the car would not shift out of 1st and had no power when pushing on the gas.
Overall I was worried it was a transmission or motor issue, but the GM dealer read the error and it was showing as if the battery died. Tested the alternator and it is pushing out power and tested the battery and results came back fine. Not sure what the issue was, but the dealer was able to see the issue basically resolve itself and the car is now running fine. Overall not a fun morning...

What was batt test reading? Voltage?
Load test done? I've seen batteries that have decent voltage but have no guts left in terms of a load test… |

Do you think it has any thing to do with Onstar? updates that were done not to long ago gave the car i know some problems, had to disconnect the battery to fix the car.

Nope. The car ran fine to the cars and coffee and popped the engine check light as I was driving away.

As a fyi. They charged the battery after testing it to top it off and the car is running great now.
I took her out and did some full WoT runs. I GoPro'ed it all

I came back to a dead battery after 11 day vacation. Road service had trouble with the small positive post under the hood so went directy to the battery. The panlel pulls out easily but the opening is just too small.
Had to leave the jumper on it for 5 minutes because it was really dead. Got it started and into the dealer today. Hope it starts. 2 codEs also but incidental to battery being low. Lost bluetooh and radio settings |
