Ceramic White Leather - Tough to keep clean?

I'm very interested in getting the ceramic white interior, however, I'm concerned with how it wears or shows scratches/marks over time. I assume it will require regular cleanings more than darker leather colors? Have any of you had this kind of white leather in previous vehicles? Over time did it wear ok and would you order white again?

I had oyster leather In my 335is and it wasn't too horrible. And the ENTIRE seat was white including the bolsters. One thing though, DO NOT wear blue jeans, especially new ones. They will absorb the blue. Definitely a deal breaker for me the next time around which is a bummer because I really like the ceramic white. Unless GM has done something to combat the blue jean bleed problem.

EDIT: apparently you can buy cleaners to combat this. https://www.turtlewax.com/pro-tips/h...-leather-seats

For my ceramic white interior, I am picking up some Meguiar's Gold Class Rich Leather cleaner.

That will do the trick.

No issues so far...I am using Gyeon Q2 leathercoat on leather surfaces in the car. Never used it before though so I can't personally speak to its effectiveness. I love how the interior looks though definitely worth it.

When we spoke to Al at the Dallas find new roads he made it very clear that the white leather should not stain. He claimed they sent out the request to people suppliers and the ones who provided samples who made it thru the stress test with no stains was chosen. Also when we looked at the white leather camaro at the event it had about 30k miles and the seats looked brand new.

Our dealer offers detail program for $400 bucks we get details every 6 months for 5 years plus gurentee if they can not get a stain out they replace the interior with new oem material.

It depends on the jean also. I've never had my jeans stain my grey seats, however my girlfriend has one pair of jeans that does every time. They're cheap Walmart brand I believe.

Thanks, I was not aware of this type of condition. It appears this "Dye Transfer" happens to all leather seats regardless of color, but its obviously very visible on light colors. Anyone have experience with this or other products on removing this kind of stain?

That stuff seems to have good reviews and appears to work on the dye transfer issue. thanks!

Hmmm...I'm kind of a cheapskate when it comes to jeans and I do where them a lot in the winter. I guess I'll be cleaning the seats quite often!

Another good protectant for leather that gives protection against discoloration. I guess there are plenty of products available to help keep the seats in good condition.

$40 for a detail seems like a good price. I'll have to check with my local dealers to see if they offer something similar.

remember when you buy your fancy leather conditioner, you are wasting money because you can't touch the leather....
