I think it is a must you keep then on. What size are tires.

305 in the back and 285 in the front

Looks pretty cool. I think the fenders on the 6th gen have a little more bulge and can handle a little more wheel and tire.

Love the look but not the flat black, have a set here that are going to get striped and done in black chrome, think for that color car it the right way to go.

I think they look bad ass. I would love to see how they look in the black chrome as well.. My vote is to keep them on.. Have thought about blacking out the mirrors and spoiler?
