Damn this wait. I know that some folks here have had order for a longer length of time than me, but all this waiting is not good for me. I have not drove my Z06 for the past month an a half. So long that the battery died. I charged the batt and had to go get fuel(it was on E and I periodically crank it in the garage) DAMN this thing is fast! I guess its that whole "distance makes the heart grow fonder" thing. Half if me doesnt know why Id consider paying the same for a Camaro as what I am for a 3LZ Z06 with all options. Never thought Id have First World problems!? Lol

And, for that matter I just came across my DREAM ZL1 for the exact same money as my SS on order.

Wait.. You have a z06!! Unless you're looking for something sporty yet more comfortable, I'd stick with the Z06. That's one sweet ride.

I know the feeling, only problem is... it costs us A LOT in the end.

My advice? If it were me, I'd consider the Camaro only if things such as interior quality mattered to you (since it is leaps ahead over the C6Z), or the possible need for two miniscule back seats. Otherwise, stick with what you got (or get a C7 Z51, god I'm bad!)

I have a couple boys, but we take moms car everywhere. So seating isnt really an issue. I REALLY like the tech in the new SS. But I LOVE the power and handling of my Z.

I will have two other cars, plus the new Camaro, and mom has a truck. But sometimes the other cars won't due when going out. Plus, sometimes the whole family will come to a show or cruise with me. I'll get another Vette (have a C5Z track rat) when their driving and will have no desire to hang out with dad.

Im on the fence right now ive never owned a vette and am considering buying a new ss 6 speed or a C6Z or maybe a C6 and mod it.. Im torn between the two did you get a camaro.. Did you make the right choice or you still miss your Z. Ive got two small kids that could ride with me every now an then I do have an Ls swapped iroc they ride with me in. i sold a modded ws6 that is way faster than the new stock camaro and a new car i wouldn't want to mod and screw up warranty? Like i said im torn.

For note, I also used to have a heavy modded WS6(MS3 cam/NX150 wet/Etc...)
I have no regrets trading my C6Z for my 16 SS. Guys my wife work with are always asking her "wWhat the hell was he THINKING!?". To the point that it has gotten quite annoying.
They dont get it. Frankly, YOU won't get it, unless you have developed a taste for tech and comfort. It may very-well be an age thing(though I will explain it away as anything but!lol.
0-60- Z
1/4mi- Z
Handling- Z
Fuel mileage- SS
Comfort- SS
Tech- SS
"Drivability"- SS
FUN- SS

IDK how to describe it. Even looking at the above, IM QUESTIONING MYSELF!lol But when I get in this SS, Im happy. The Z- only happy when racing.
I cant blame someone for considering a C6z. That thing is a beast.
Id suggest however, to ONLY consider the 'Z'. Its the only one that is worth considering in comparison.(Ive owned a C5Z, and C6GS). Which, to me... is quite the compliment to a bone stock, 20+mpg, 175mph, 4.0 0-60mph capable Camaro. To be in contention with an $80K Z06!
