Cool.
If they are going back to 1969 for COPO , maybe the next performance Camaro - such as a 1LE - will have a 1969 engine?

A 327 S/C or a lovely 396.

But they have them. They could use them if they wanted too.

Don't burst my bubble.

NExt to the Hot Cam info:

"
It is designed for off-road use and to perform optimally
with the Active Fuel Management cylinder deactivation
system disabled. A new valve lifter kit (P/N 12648846)
includes eight conventional lifters to replace the eight
specialty lifters in the LT1 that support Active Fuel
Management. There’s also a new valve lifter guide kit
(P/N 12595365) to go with the new lifters"

This is good news for all of the people that don't like AFM. You can now buy a lifter kit to do away with it. If the manual comes with AFM lifters but just has AFM disabled, I wonder if you can just buy this kit and drop the conventional lifters in.

I thought the manual comes with AFM enabled this time around?

I believe a new cam would be required to use the non AFM lifters in those cylinders. For the manuals, I wish GM would have just done this from the factory!
