door chime while driving

Something weird happened to me this morning after dropping my son off at school. I was driving home ~5 minutes, and while driving down the road like normal, nothing aggressive or overly spirited, the door chime comes on. There were no lights about the doors being open, seat-belt not being on etc. And it wasn't a steady chime either, it was and odd random pulsing. Regardless of what I did it would not turn off, took seat-belt off and back on, opened door and closed it (at a light), until I pulled off to the shoulder, stopped, shut the car off took off my seat-belt, opened the door and closed it, and then started it back up. Has anyone else had anything like this happen to them?

This happened to me about 5 times already, and I tried the same thing you did.
The last time it did it at the outlet store parking lot, down at the beach, I opened the door, and unplugged the door wire harness, then put it back on, and it finally stopped.
You then have to re index the drivers window.
I still don't know if I have it solved.
You have to pop up the harness connector clip first to get the door connector off.

Happened again today. Got in the car to go to work put on my seatbelt and fire up the car. The chime goes ballistic, it is sounding so quickly it was closer to a constant tone than the normal ding. Same fix, shut the car off take seatbelt off, open door, then reverse and no more chime. Taking it to the dealer Tuesday if I get the chance.

Every so often mine will chime 4 or 5 times evenly after cold starting with my seat belt on and doors closed. But it shuts off after the 5th or so chime. I think yours sounds different and it maybe a bad sensor or something?

Yeah mine is definitely an electrical issue somewhere. When it happened Saturday I was still sitting stationary in the garage in neutral, hadn't even put the car in gear yet. Called the dealer they said to bring it by.
