My First Camaro: 2016

This is my very first Camaro and it could not come at a better time with the release of the 6th Gen.

Question to ALL you Camaro Freaks Out There:

What is it like Driving a Camaro?

I drove a 2014 V6 rental....durning the winter in Chicago. Had some safe space on the highway to let it rip and I was surprised. It handled well and felt fun to drive. The idea of getting a V8 version of that car soon feels like Christmas is coming. This will be my first Camaro also.

Monkeys do it all the time. Only when they do it, shit is being thrown. Also, some people just can't be happy for the decision some else made regarding their own needs and wants. This space should encourage people to get the version that suits them the best. People are excited about the car not the motor. Monkeys can only see the shit.

I put $500 down on the 2TL RS V6. It's fully refundable. Doesn't mean I can't change my mind. Even when my car is delivered, there may be a 2SS sitting right next to mine. I can change my mind if I want to.
I Have to take a further look into my finances. It might be do-able.
I have a small commute to work.
Trans Damm, It's pretty simple, If I can afford I'll get the V8. If I can't afford it, I won't.
The 455 h.p. and 455 torque for the V8 is impressive. But again, it all comes at a cost. Yes, it's worth it. I have never heard of anyone regretting getting a V8. But, in reality, one will never be able to exercise all that raw power on the open roads or highways except for taking it to the track. I'm just excited that I finally made up my mind to follow thru with getting a Camaro. No matter what trim level OR engine it is.

I've got a friend who owns a 2014 LT V6, and somebody came up to him and told him what a sweet ride he has. The engine type NEVER came up in the conversation. Some people actually like to discuss JUST the look of the car. Just saying..

I am leaning toward purchasing a 2016 Turbo 4 Camaro. I can afford the V6, but the base engine just sounds like alot of fun to drive with the torque coming on low and mid range rpms.

And I don't give a rat's a** what anybody thinks.

I started out looking at the LT. The turbo 4 and the 6 cyl are both quite impressive for what they are. Then my son reminded me the Camaro is a muscle car and muscle cars have V8's, period. So as not to embarrass him, I decided to go 1SS, lol. Then at the dealership I elevated to 2SS because I wanted the black wheels. Looking at my order now I'm very glad I decided to go all the way.

"ZACK46" But, in reality, one will never be able to exercise all that raw power on the open roads or highways except for taking it to the track"

yup lets face is that is true or unless there aren't any cops around lol I'm just glad I'm able to upgrade to the v8 now. My v6 is hella fun, specially with all of the stares I get on the street since I made it out like bumblebee. But now I'm just simply ready for something that will move a little faster and also for all the cool stuff that it comes with... since my base model v6 was just too simple.

Ehh...Not to be "that guy" but the engine is quite a big part of the conversation if you're a car guy. That's not to say your car choice isn't awesome or that your friend didn't have a nice car, but looks are only half of it. JMO.
