ORDERING ???/

I can't find a single Dealership in Minnesota or WIS. that has a clue on when or where I can order the 2016 Camaro? It kills me how Little Sales People know about the cars they are selling?????

The term "Little Sales People" is insulting. They prefer to be called "Slightly Smaller Sales People".

Most car sales people are trained to sell what is on hand. That is just the way it is. Look for a dealer who moves a lot of Corvettes in your area as way more Corvettes are customer orders than the rest of the Chevy car lines combined.

If you can consider going a little further, BeckyD of Rodgers Chevrolet south of Detroit is an excellent choice and is very well used to doing customer orders not just for Michigan buyers all across the states. She does status change updates for the forum's members if you want to take a look at what she does.

They most likely are to small a dealership to have gotten allocation for the new cars. You can always give BeckyD a call, she delivers anywhere

The dealer does need to have allocation to submit the order still.

Depends on what you mean by submit. A dealer does not need an allocation to enter an order and get an Order # but does need an allocation to get an entered order placed (accepted by GM).

Hello everyone, I just placed my order and I made a deposit of $500. The sales person and I walked through the order in his computer, added the packages and options I wanted. He printed the order workbench and asked me to make sure all the options were correct. Made the deposit and told me that he didn't submit that order because his sales manager was placing the orders himself later. They assked for my email so that once they Place the order they can let me know the order number. What I don't understand is that another sales person from another dealer told me that no one in the east coast ( I live in norther Va) was able to place orders yet. So how true is this?? Is there anyone on the east coast that has been able to get their orders placed??

OK, another semantics based question.

For the US market, all Chevrolet dealers can enter orders whenever the order bank for a particular vehicle line opens. Accept this as a truth.

But an entered order is not a placed order. A placed order is an entered order matched against an allocation. Dealers receive allocations in large part based on their performance for a particular vehicle line, so a dealer who retails a hundred Camaro LTs a month can expect to be allocated about a hundred Camaro LT orders a month. Geographical location (I mean by this the fifty states and DC) has nothing to do with this process.

This is extremely frustrating, in my dealer there are 2016 corvette stingray and Z06; and I haven't been able to get a allocation,

Please do not take this as hostile, but to the best of my knowledge the Corvette in its various iterations is one vehicle line as is the Camaro a different vehicle line.

Allocations, for all intents and purposes, are vehicle line based. A dealer in Iowa who may sell more Silverados than any other US dealer will normally not get any extra Camaro allocations UNLESS another dealer decides not to use all their allocations.

The reason is simple: using this method to distribute allocations is defendable in an American court. Any other reasons offered are window dressing.
