6 piston brembo brakes worth it?

Does anyone have an idea if the 6 piston brembo brakes will be worth what they may cost- I'm guessing between 3-4k? Are they really just best for track use?

When i upgraded my brakes on my g8 to 6 piston cadillac brakes there was a crazy difference, i remember one time i wasnt paying attention and almost ran into someone and l know them brakes saved me from a crash definitely worth it. But i cant see myself personally paying for them, i will wait and piece together a 6 piston set after some good ebay, amazon finds start to come out

I may just wait and get a different set from the aftermarket but I was contemplating upgrading to the 6 piston set. Will be tracking and auto x'ing so it would be a nice upgrade. Price dependent.

I think the 4 piston ones will have plenty of bite.. They do on the current heavier model. You'd probably be better off with sticker tires.

I personally won't be getting this upgrade. Don't think it's worth the estimated $4500 or so what it will cost. That's just me.

I really dont think it will cost 4k for just front brakes.

Anyway...does anyone know the rotor size of this package? dont see why they would upgrade the caliper to 6 piston and keep the same size rotors. They are a slotted rotor and a performance pad...just cant find the sizing...?

I was expecting about 3500 for this upgrade, a little annoying the mustang can have the upgrade for like 1800 (in a package) and chevy seems dead-set on keeping the high end brakes locked behind such a heavy pile of money

Well they are $4,315 for the 2015 camaro so I was basing it off of that. Those rotors are 14.6" for what's it worth

Well when someone gets a chance with the stock brakes, do a panic stop to see if the ABS kicks in. If it does, the brakes are good enough and you need stickier tires.

Well, I've already ordered the car with the 6 piston brakes, but after hearing from others how expensive they are I'm not sure anymore. I love the idea of them, but the price has me wondering if I should wait. I ordered all the upgrades except for the sunroof... with the brakes I'm guessing over $50k?

Is the 2015 just a front brake upgrade?

Havent looked into many things 5th gen related since I sold mine last spring.

If so you are probably going to be right...nothing ever gets cheaper.

Thats crazy...never would have thought it was that much.

The 2015 is of a factory option which is why the price is high. You are buying aftermarket GM upgrade, just like the are arp seat upgrade is much cheaper to order with the car then to add as a GM upgrade. Expect them to be close to the GT pricing. If they are not cheap for some odd reason you can but them on Amazon for $1,200 and get them painted to match.
