This morning
Came out to my car this morning, and found this....not happy. Will be installing outdoor cameras in the next couple weeks. Does not look like any gas was missing as I reset the trip counter with every fill up.

same with mine
I dont think that was a theft attempt, same thing on mine. I have camaras installed on the car and on property. I think its cheap paint on gm's part. Take it to the dealer.

I never understood why our cars didn't come with a locking gas cap. Im sure if someone wanted to get it open they would, locking or not but still. Im planning to get a dash cam with motion sensors this way it's on when needed and off when not. Way to start a Monday huh ?

AMAZON has them, I have one. It's about $15, I really don't feel like searching for you today, but they do exist.

Got one too. I don't like those billet ones (black, chrome, or machined) not my style. I think I got my at the autozone. They're out there... and don't cost much. |

I just walked into my local Advance\Discount Auto Parts and got a generic locking cap. Nine bucks if I remember right. Note that it is not just to prevent gas theft, but Assholism mitigation that I bought a locking cap. Any smacktard with a handful of sugar packets can ruin your whole day.
