4 Door Camaro?????
Just saw this. My wife would jump for joy if there was a 4 door version. The RX-8 was definitely different when they added another door.
With the Holden/Chevrolet SS going away....a 4 door Camaro could be interesting. Heck, I'd be happy if you could actually roll down the back windows in the Coupe. http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/resea...AA9SmlL#page=7

Umm. No thanks and I'm sure it will not happen. I can see Impala going back to RWD though and having a v8 or turbo 6 under the hood.

I know it would be sacrilegious to the faithful but I think a 4 door sedan in the spirit of the ss with an lt1 and something with muscular looks should be called the chevelle.

That's what I hated most about Dodge calling their 4 door a Charger, but it's a big sales hit. I think it would be better to call it an Impala SS but the Chevelle nameplate would carry more muscle presence.

As popular as the Charger is, I think GM should at least consider it. I would never buy one, but there's clearly a market for it.

That is what the impala SS and Malibu Chevelle names are for. I think there is certainly a market available for the resurgence of those cars as long as they are not bastardized as FWD cars (again).

The Impala SS label was damaged, at least to my mind, when they slapped it on a watered down FWD. If the last Holden "SS" wasn't so expensive it may have sold better than it did.

I agree wholeheartedly! I think the Malibu is doing fairly well and could use a Chevelle. As long as they make it a RWD version. Not sure how feasible a it would be to make it happen. Malibu styling with an LT1 and RWD.

Holden's cars seem to never stay around that long, like the Holden/Pontiac GTO and the Holden/Pontiac G8 GT. Both pretty powerful, but also expensive when they were out.

Putting a known name on it and not making a Holden carryover could be a recipe that would sell. The SS was not a known name. Not a known car. And was a standalone model. Non car guys did not go to the dealer to see the SS. A Chevelle Malibu would get the looking for a Malibu crowd to increase sales.
