I'll take the Zo7 any day. I like Godzilla but the Vette looks so much better.

I would also take either one. Only haters that are too full of themselves would turn down that GTR.

I would love the ZO7 version of the Stingray.
The GT-R just doesn't appeal to me looks wise. The next one that is coming out looks sick though. That would make me take pause about leaving my Chevy roots. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

I'll just leave this here. It looks a little C7ish to me. That might be why I like it.

I'd take either, but given the choice I'd probably go with the Z06, because I'm not a good enough driver to bring the engine/tires to heat soak as quickly (or realistically, at all, because I suck) and I feel like I could learn more from the Z06. I would totally dd a GT-R though.

I'd take the Z06... oops, yeah duh got one!
Kidding aside though, that 600hp GT-R Nismo is one bad mofo and unfortunately it starts at a whopping 150K (plus I'd add the 13K titanium exhaust). Dang that's pricey! By the time you spec it out, it's nearly at the 991 Turbo S level or better yet, maybe just shoot for that 991 GT3 RS... So i'm stuck with my cheapo Z06... no complaints. For reference, here's the run... and the Nismo now slots in at 2nd place all time while the Z06 is at 4th place at WSIR (Big Willow, not Streets of Willow). GM needs to address the early heat issue and so the ECU doesn't pull timing asap. Addressing that will enable it to really perform and use all of its power especially on the straights & top end where it really needs it. |

Interesting I would have thought the C7 would have done better especially when you consider the following: The GTR is giving up 50-hp and 169 lbs of torque to the C7, also the GTR is +354 lbs in the weight department. Looks like Nissan has this car dialed in perfectly.

I think it's mostly the traction issue.
If you read the articles about the new rumored Zora ZR1 you will see mentioned that 650/650 is the edge of controllable in a Front Engine RWD platform. This is why there are plans for Mid Engine and AWD for the Zora. My understanding is that the regular Vettes for the C8 will be Mid Engine but RWD to lower cost. If the current car was AWD and had it's current power with a few hundred extra lbs it would probably smoke that GTR. This is probably the last S/C halo car GM will make though. Turbo is probably going to take over. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
