Galaxy Tab 3?
so here i am - chilling in the back of BestBuy looking at gizmos for my wife. she's been wanting a tablet thing-a-bob lately & already has a Galaxy S3 phone, so i got to looking at the Tab3 (since she prefers Samsung & LG products). any of y'all have experience with it - good or bad? it seems like a pretty decent product for the price, considering the camera is a bit lower res than some others as well as the screen resolution & contrast/color.
the processing seems fine & has a few pretty good reviews. i doubt she's gonna be using it as any kind of full-up laptop... she's already got a couple of them. it'd be more for videos/games/email type stuff when she don't want to carry around the bigger computer (it's like 16" or 17" - i don't even like carrying it around). suggestions, opinions, advisories?

thanks, y'all
i went back right after starting this discussion & played with it some more *so to speak*, and does YouTube normally run slow? i just tried a quick default search (Whipple Corvette), and some videos either come up real pixleated or hardly load at all. thing is - i also tried it on the Note sitting right beside it & had the same result. is this a common issue or is something weird going on?

I have the new Nexus 7 Tablet and Love it. It has netflix, and youtube never runs slow while using it. I compared it to the galaxy tab and despite the nexus being a tad smaller, the display and clarity of the screen was so much better imo.

If you are set on the galaxy tab 3 get the 8.0. I have used the both the 7.0 and 8.0 and the 8.0 is worth the price upgrade in my opinion. However if you are not set on it having to be a galaxy tab look at the Nexus 7. It is one of the best (if not the best) tablet you can buy in that price range.

cool, thanks for the input. i couldn't care one way or the other, really. i just hate buying crappy stuff, so i'd rather take time to find out what's good before dropping cash on something just to have to swap it out or get something else later.
i only mentioned the Samsung because she's Korean & tries to express national pride in what she uses.

yes you can and the picture and sound is decent on it (even better if you have a nice set of headphones or ear bud headphones. I also put my 'digital copy' movies that come with blu rays on a memory card and use them for long trips and plan on using that feature when I fly from NY to LA this summer

I just got the Galaxy Note 3, and it's a really awesome phone. Kinda the best of both worlds.
Send from my New and Improved Phablet!
