The Venom GT is not a production car, it is a revamped lotus

Its a production car. No matter what it started as.

It is however, registered as a lotus when purchased.

We've sold more Venoms than SSC has sold of their cars, in a very short production run (so far).

If you don't call the Venom a production car, than what is the Tesla, The Detroit Electric, and many many many other vehicles based off the Exige. Anyone who has ever seen, sat in, driven a Venom knows good and well it is not anything close to an Exige.

Platform sharing has been around as long as the model T. Next thing I'm going to see a thread on how Camaros aren't Camaro's, they're the exact same as a Holden Maloo. C'mon guys.

It's no less a production car than any other shared platform car. In this case, the shared platform comes from outside Hennessey, but it is the same concept as taking a GTO (Zeta) and modifying it to be a Camaro (Zeta II).
