Any members have GS jobs/ gvernment positons?

Morning folks. I just wanted to see if any members worked for the Federal government in a GS position. My wife and I have been applying for various positions that we've been able to find online. We have friends/family members try to point us in the right direction as well but we haven't been able to get as much as a call back. It's been suggested by a friend that we may not be including the right "key words" in our applications. Does anyone have ay info on this? I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I've applied for about 1000 GS positions. Haven't gotten even a nibble after I applied. I am contracting now, so it's ok. I've already got a security clearance, but I'm waiting on my VA disability to maybe give me an extra boost.

Definitly willing to relocate. I've been applying to various entry level positions, help desk, etc. I have an associates degree in Health Care Administration. I don't believe I'd have a problem getting a clearance. Of course the issue there would be getting mine or my wife's foot in the door to a position that would require one or work up to it.

That's not bad. I acutally applied for a contracting job on our base here for a postion I'm more than qualified for. A friend of my dad's had some insight on the position and was supposed to be looking out for me. But that's been since around last July.
