Wrong. Lack of interest/sales killed it, Imperial Blue (age too), Cyber Grey, and Red Jewel.
Most popular colors are Red, Black, Yellow, White, and Silver. All of which are still of the 2010 MY formula. What sells, sells for a reason. |

Actually - ABM was discontinued because of lack of sales. Where as IBM was discontinued because the factory in Japan that supplied GM with the metallic flakes for it got destroyed by the tsunami. |

This. Red Jewel and Cyber Gray were also discontinued due to the tsunami issue.

Crystal Red is nearly the same color as Red Jewel, it just has less metallic in it. I have an RJT Camaro and it shares the garage with a Crystal Red Sonic. You need to look close to see the difference. It's a bit more noticable in the sun light though. |

Sorry Stig but I don't believe this. The paint comes from PPG and since it is water based the Metalliac Flake is standardized. Thus meaning anything with flake in it is the same. |

I second the tsunami posts in this thread. Tsunami equals color killer!

I know cyber grey wasn't a lack of sales, it was pretty high on the charts and got replaced by an almost exactly the same shade of grey, just with more gold in the flake.

The tsunami did cause a shortage of colors (IBM I know for sure).
ABM's fate was sealed due to the horrible photos of the color on their website. It looked like the gay blue that Ford uses on the Mustang.
