Can Your LS3 Do This?!

Yes, this is an LS3 of a different kind! Can you imagine what an army of these things outfitted with the latest weapons could do? And talk about the intimidation factor!

There is something very creepy about robots that have striking similarities to living things. What do you think?

1) A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2) A robot must obey the orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3) A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws.

These LS3s could become used on the ground like predator drones are used in the air. A herd of these coming over a hill right at you would be horrifying.

If it can save a few soldiers lives on a battlefield I'm all for it but I don't want a T-1000 knocking on my door one day asking me if I'm John Conner.

Especially if its a modified version that hops around on four legs like this thing does!

I've only read the Foundation series about 10-12 times over the last 35 years.

Are you thinking of "I, Robot" with Will Smith?

The book "I, Robot" was a collection of short stories. Basically, the movie pulled some parts out of a short story in that book called "Little Lost Robot".

A few of Asimov's books touched on the 3 laws of robotics, with Foundation introducing a 4th (or 0th) law.

To be honest, I've never been impressed with the tethered run robots. Until the powersource is internal it doesn't really count for anything but proof of concept. Wheras to me I find the one with the onboard generator 1000 times more impressive. Creepy, but impressive.

However, the fact that it is being developed for the military, sucks. Great more budget into oppressing other countries with brown people. Whereas nasa can barely get half a damn penny and gets slandered for everything they do pretty much.
