Got a call from my dealer yesterday that my car has been pulled for production. The bigger news is that he said that they pulled 4 times as many this go-round as they have in the past.

If my dealer is any indication of the "big picture" then GM has once again listened to the enthusiasts and directed all production efforts in order to get the pre-orders out FIRST.

If this is true, then GM deserves a BIG round of applause !!!

If true GM is learning.

Also, it's good business to make the cars for a known sale verses creating random dealership stock that may not sell upon arrival.

I'll thank them when my car gets here. Sitting at 3000 for almost a month man!! I'm not too thankful for jack right now! I know I'm farther along than most but "Dude...where's my car"!

Better than 1100. I don't know their process, but it seems that once you hit 3000, it is up to the automated system and constraints as to when they bring your Camaro to life.

Hylton mentioned to watch for V6's on the move, mine moved yesterday so maybe production is starting to ramp up. As the 1100's starting moving up, you gotta have those at 3000 start moving... let's hope the line ahead me starts going very soon.

I have been waiting patiently. This past Wednesday was the 7 month anniversary of my order being placed. I am still at 1100. I was talking with the dealer about getting one of these cars for a full year prior to placing an order.

I have read Fbodfather's postings and thought to myself, "OK, all seems reasonable. I'd rather wait for a better quality car than get a buggy one early." I have great respect for him and the Camaro team.

I hoped I would get my car in time for the unveiling at the local dealership on may 6th. The day came and went and I am still at 1100. I am getting to the point where my patience is wearing very thin.

I sincerely hope that this thread is correct and that pre-orders are now getting the priority. The ONLY justification for further delay is quality issues. Hearing that someone ordered a bunch of new Camaros and they are more important than me no longer cuts it in my mind. If they are working off the back orders as fast as they can, then I will be content. So, please, please let this be true...

^^^ word...although i didnt order that long ago i still have an r6p code and would like to enjoy my camaro for atleast half the summer...im next at my dealer to get pulled and hopefully its very soon....fingers crosssed!

This may be a very dumb question but you did get a wrokbench order number right? Is your dealer telling you what your status is or do you know for sure? Has your dealer received any pre-ordered cars already? Do you trust your dealer? I find it very difficult to believe that anyone who ordered in October would still be at 1100. If so, something must be amiss.
