Dent: Front Driver Side Fender

So I get back to my car in the parking lot to find this. Anyone have for sale a 2010 Camaro 2SS Front Driver Fender in black? How much should repairs cost? Dealer quoted me $800...

Also, should I get this repaired or purchase a new fender all together? Thoughts?

Mine was 800.00 as well and the dealer just replaced the whole fender as it was cheaper .

If your insurance deductable isn't much different from the cash price, I wouldn't claim it and just pay the difference. I learned the hard way a long time ago to just use insurance for larger claims. If something else happens that causes you to file another claim or two, it won't look good and you could be canceled.

Have you check with and car club in S.Florida for Camaro owners? Someone might know where and who can help in this for you. Sorry to see this happen to your ride.

Whaaat? No, that's what you pay for comprehensive and uninsured motorist coverage for. I put in a $900 claim when somebody hit me in a parking lot. No rate hike or anything else.

This damage is not comp, it's collision. DanderouSS is correct, 2 or 3 claims and your rates may go way up or you may get dropped altogether.

What did you end up doing? I live in West Palm and the exact thing happened to me, but it was my right fender.

This damage is comprehensive.. The OP's car was parked and it was hit. If the OP had been driving and hit something, then it would be considered collision. I just went through a similar incident, and my insurance company told me it was comprehensive since my vehicle was parked.

Also, I was told by my insurance that if I decide to have them repair it and go after that the person who hit me, my rates would not be affected as I was not at fault.

^^^ Oh so wrong. ^^^
Parked and "HIT" by another vehicle = collision. It doesn't matter if the car is moving or parked or what your insurance co rep said- they made a mistake !
It's best to know what your talking about before posting....
