It's a do or die moment...lol...good reflexes.
 Had this happen once in my '71...hit a bad bump on the highway doing over 60 and holy crap I'm blind...lol. It's something you never quite forget and are thankful you survived.

Yeah, just one minor scratch a few things like some small dents on the trim. Hood is pretty mangled though. Impressed that there was no other damage.

Happened to me in my '69 years ago. I forgot to put the hood pins back in and went for a drive....BAM! It tore the hinges to shreads but the fiberglass hood was still OK.
