Get used to seeing the hood.
Boy it has been a long time since I owned a car that you see the hood. What I mean is driving down the road you see the hood of the car, so many of the cars I have owned since my 66 Stang the hoods just drop away and you do not see them when driving.
Granted I only drove it for 3 miles to the body shop it was kind of cool knowing where the front of the car was. Just wanted you guys to think about that. When was the last time you really saw the hood of your car? |

Hey Scott,
I was wondering how the body work was going and if they've given you a pick-up date yet? Wishing your car a speedy recovery Jack |

That's good, I think I'd prefer that! I've always hated pulling up to something and not really being able to tell how close I am... haha... I always think I'm going to hit it, but then I get it out and look and I'm like 2-3 feet away from it or something... I've adapted a bit though and I'm pretty good with knowing where my car is. Reversing is a little trickier though... I sure am gonna miss my reverse sensing :(

I believe I'm ok with that! I purposely painted my 87 IROC's cowl hood in a pattern so I could see the orange AND the black (tribal whip flamed)- because the hood was part of my view....and I liked it! Made me feel badass. :-)

I was at the Chevy Reveal in Charlotte last night and sat in the car. I can identify with your comment on seeing the hood. It reminds me of driving my old '69 Camaro and seeing the cowl as I drove. I was amazed how small I felt as I sat behind the massive dash and in the comfy seats. Definately a meaty machine!

Oh yeah it is a beastly looking car. I was amazed at how big my wheels and tires looked on it. Looked alot bigger with the polished wheels since they shine all the way thru the wheel.
Can't wait till later today!!! |
