Stock 92 Corvette LT1 vs. Kenne Bell SC 2010 L99
Some guy straight up challenged my brother's SC L99 which has a Kenne Bell SC running 8 PSI. He hasn't dynoed it yet but according to the ppl at Kenne Bell it's supposed to be putting out about 650 HP. Does this sound right? A stock LT1 motored Vette vs a stock L99 Camaro seems like a better contest, no?

the vette owner is either really dumb or he's lying and his car isn't stock.

My LS1 z28 (bone stock) used to beat my buddies stock LT1 Vette all the time when we raced.
As you mentioned, a much better race would be a bone stock L99 A6 vs a stock LT1 Vette. |

Jak, I think you would be able to give him a good run and maybe even beat him with your modded V6 if he really is stock with an LT1 engine.

That's what I'm kinda thinking. I don't think the guy was lying when he said its stock. I was just kind of dumbfounded. Holy lacking in horsepower batman. Spec sheet says it only has 300HP AND 330T. I've got be pushing 350 HP at least and close to 300T if not more. Granted those only weigh 3223lbs. Yeah he'd get raped just like I do by my bro's SC'd L99.

Even a stock L99/LS3 car would have no problem against a stock '92 LT1 Corvette. However, a 1992 ZR-1 Corvette with the LT5 engine would have the slight edge over a stock 5th gen Camaro.

while a 92 vette is light the LT1 only put out between 300 and 330 hp depending on how it was equip.
The ran about a 14 flat to very high 13's on a good day. A stock camaro ss should win pretty easy with like drivers. |
