I'd recommend none, sounds like your going for a fast solution for a problem that will take a long time. A balanced diet coupled with a proper exercise routine will help you lose more weight than anything else. The biggest obstacle is discipline and believing that you can achieve your fitness goals. At 263 it sounds like you have a little bit of a road in front of you but if you consult a nutritionist and a personal trainer your young enough that you can get things on the right rack.

What is your daily calorie intake and exercise routine? Looks like you might be a little carb heavy from what I'm reading here.

Diet wise you should try to match your lean body mass in grams of protein and double that in carbs. For fat (non-saturated of course) it should be half your grams of protein. Ideally for an adult with a lean body mass of 150 pound the appropriate calorie intake to break even weight wise is 2,000 daily. Its 3,500 calories to burn a pound of fat. The problem is if you try to starve it out your body adapts and starts burning muscle weight instead of fat, and slows your metabolism as well.

You can increase your calorie expenditure by increasing your lean body mass by lifting weights. Remember muscle always burns more calories than fat does. If you get yourself up to 14 miles three days a week on an exercise bike or 4 mile jogs 3 days that should be an extra 500 calories burned a clip. Figure consuming something like 1,600 calories coupled with building up to said cardio routine and you could be burning well over 3,500 calories a week. Just keep in mind you can't just full bore jump into this kind of exercise schedule you need to build your strength and endurance up over time.

A lot people are at this kind of weight these days. Luckily the OP is still young, older folks have a much harder time shaking this kind of weight.

I second the p90x, it worked for me and my wife. We start another round of it tomorrow after giving it a 2 month break. It really does work, I had lots of people compliment me not knowing I was doing it. Stay away from the drugs, the good effects don't last long, but the bad effects (kidney/liver damage) stays with you for life. I'm not here to preach to you my man, you are young now...take care of yourself so when you get older you won't have as many problems. I've seen three people die from steroids at the gym I used to go to. That's right, die. I don't know what they were doing wrong, but it's not a chance I'd take. There are some legal supplements that help...but I just believe in eating healthy, supplementing with protein and taking vitamins. Glutamine is a highly needed substance when working out. It helps you recover with no known negative effects...I use this also. If you have your mind made up, I'm not here to change it or try to criticize you, just weigh the negatives with the positives. There are actually quite a few sites that will give you the info you need on this. Good luck and P90x rules!
