What do you drive -AT- 'work'?
Thought this belonged in OT anyway since the thread has the potential to have more noncar stories than car stories.. but I digress.
So, I know that some of us here have a work vehicle that we drive daily for our jobs. The Camaros and Firebirds, Chevelles and GTOs, W66 Cutlasses and WS6 GTAs get garage time. That said.. what do YOU drive for work as a company/work vehicle? I keep it GM, 1999 GMC Sierra 3500HD Dump. Faded Red but can be spotted from a mile away. For 51K miles she may seem a baby, but those were and still are a hard 51K. Namely getting it stuck up to the frame rails in mud at the dump site on the course.  But having a 6.5L Turbo Detroit on tap; give me one reason not to hammer the throttle and hear that turbo whine and squeal like a pig ahead of a cloud of black smoke. It's the Truck that turned me on to Diesels. Nuff said. So, how about the rest of my C5 Compadres? |

My 2007 Tahoe has been replaced by a new 2011, and has since become my 'work truck'. I work from home a lot. The '07 lives in my warehouse until more 'dirty work' comes up.

2011 Ford Fiesta SE. When I drive 50,000 plus miles for work each year with my own vehicle and get paid .50 cents on the mile I rather be averaging 41.8 MPG instead of 16.3 MPG.

I get to drive a few different vehicles depending on what I have to do that day. Sometimes forklifts, electric golf carts, stake bed trucks, Pickup trucks or even floor sweepers/floor scrubbers that has wheels.

When I do need to shlep stuff around at work, I use my Chevrolet '98 S-10 with its manual transmission. Never drive girly-matics, if I can possibly help it.
