Hello all you Off-Topic goers! I've decided I would try this forum game that I used to play a lot in another forum. There are forums dedicated to this game alone, but I figured I'd try here with all us camaro freaks. Some of you may have heard of this game.

The short version:

People sign up, there are good guys (townspeople/sheriff/doc, to name a few), and of course the MAFIA! They try and kill each other, last person/people standing, win


Semi long version, but important:

This is a social game. It is important that people stay active and post at least once a day. There are two phases of this game. Day phase, which is when everyone is able to talk in the game thread. Then there is the night phase, where no one is allowed to post in the game forum. I have created an invite only social group for the mafia to be invited to once they have been chosen. They are able to talk at any time in that group.

The object of the game is to talk amungst each other to try and figure out who is mafia scum, and hang them, which will end the day phase. The day and night phases DO NOT correlate with real time day and night!

Win condition is the town wins wen all mafia are dead. Mafia wins if they equal the amount of innocents or outnumber them.

The sheriff and doctor will pm me during the night phase of what their action is. The sheriff can investigate one person at night and the doc can save one person at night. In this game, they may choose to save themself.

The godfather will always come back pro town when investigated by the sheriff. The amount of mafia will depend on the amount of people in the game. I will not reveal the amount at any time.

I will update this post with further instruction. I want to get the sign up started.

After sign-ups, I will start another thread that will be the game thread.

Day/Night, In depth:

When the game starts, it will be day phase. This phase will last until the town hase a majority vote of who they want to kill that day. If we have 10 players starting, then we need 6 votes on one person. At that point, NO ONE is allowed to post anymore. That is technically the end of the day. Of course I can't be on 24hrs, so the cooperation of players is a must. It will also help if people keep a tally of the votes for me when they vote.

Example: poormanscamaro 6 votes - Henry, bob, Sherri, Justin, Lisa, John.

Once the people have decided, I will have a write-up that will let everyone know that the night has begun. At this time, the mafia will decide who they want to kill and townspeople with a night action will pm me their action. Like the sheriff and doctor. Other players are known as vanilla townies. They don't do anything at night but pray they don't get killed at night. Lol

The game Day and Night phases are in no way related to real time day/night. A day phase can last a few real time days, or a few hours. Depending on the activity.


I usually give people 24 hours from the start of night phase to give me their actions. Of course the fast you do, the faster I can start the next day phase.


To help me out, please bold your votes. You are allowed to unvote as long as the majority didn't already vote a player to be executed. Meaning if we already have 6 votes on someone in a 10 person game, then you can't unvote because the day is technically over.

I'm keeping this game completely siimple. Only mafia, sheriff and doc in this game. After we get a hang of things, there are a ton of other roles that can be added to make it a lot more interesting.

It's a forum game. Group of people accuse other people of being mafia. First day is always the hardest. After that, it's night phase and the people with night actions pm me what they want to do. Like the sheriff would investigate another player. I tell the sheriff if that person is mafia or not. The mafia also kills someone at night. Then the day starts and people start accusing. This time some people will have clues.

Sounds confusing at first. But it's real easy and fun!
