Same in Oregon, specifically Portland due to the many bridges & freeways built in the 50's for 1/4 of the population that we have now. And so many Californians moving here due to lower cost of living, but have zero idea how to drive in the rain.

And we get some snow & ice here, yet have little infrastructure to deal with it. When it is an ice event, there are still crazies who go out & drive in all the hills we have here. Bad idea & the crashing or getting stuck makes it much worse.

Does anyone else turn their head completely to stare at the driver once they finally moved out of your way or when you have to pass them on the right cause they wont move. Just to see what they look like out of pure curiosity

Ohio.....they never move out of the left lane and drive exactly at the speed limit, even if a state such as PA explicitly states the left lane is a passing lane only.

And besides that, if you see a car coming up that is obviously going faster than you behind you, GTFO of the way.

Next worst are S. Carolina drivers.

Both of these group of knuckleheads cause me to avoid I77 like the plague.

Yep and its mostly the people who have moved here from Ohio in the last few years that have caused most issues especially around Charlotte and up to 50 miles north of Charlotte.

I can't comment for state but I will Toronto (Ontario) has a lot of drivers who should not have ever passed there drivers test.

I travel a LOT. Not one person that lives in Ohio understands the whole left lane is the go fast lane. As far as worst drivers, Illinois. Horrible. I am thankful to make it out alive each time I go through. I have no words...

I take a vacation In Salem Mass every October for Halloween and you wanna talk about crazy ass cut throats, they are horrible! And they all drive around with no lights on at night with their gas caps open, I swear just look and you'll see.

I agree, October in Salem is crazy! And anyone who's local avoids Salem in October like the plague, we will go WAY out of our way to not have to go anywhere near that mess. So, there's a very high likelihood that these people that you're encountering are actually tourists rather than residents. And, while there are examples everywhere of poor drivers, I would have to guess that these people that you're encountering are seasonal visitors since when I look the rest of the year it seems we've managed to figure out our headlights and gas caps, lol.

From my experience, I would have to say that the worst drivers are in Florida, and California, but mainly Northern California. I always thought So-Cal had the worst till I spent more time than I wish I had in the Bay Area... damn.

As for the best drivers, I would like to nominate Washington and Oregon. I never have had a close call or had idiots congesting the fast lane in those states, its wonderful.

I would not say we have the worst drivers in Texas I would say the most Road Rage/Attitude lol, lets not forget we speed the most here also. Speed limit 75? lets go 85... Changed speed limit to 85? Lets go 95 or 100. I personally knew a guy that got killed over road rage, He got shot multiple times trying to walk up to a car and fight someone. Should of known better being from Texas, Everyone knows we all have guns.....
