Cut and weld NPP to new exhaust?

Has anyone tried cutting the factory NPP off their stock exhaust and welding it into an aftermarket exhaust?

Any issues?

I know Borla has a NPP exhaust but I'm thinking about going with AWE or Corsa.

Thanks

The butterfly in the NPP is only half the system. The muffler has to have the dual chamber/ straight pipe section that allows the bypass, at that point you would be buying a NPP exhaust system.. Bottom line you can’t use a standard muffler

Geez angrybits, just buy an aftermarket exhaust system for your ZL1 1LE. It will be a lot easier!

Borla has this NPP pipes which you can use to add the NPP to any of their exhaust system that did not come with NPP originally (S type:11920, Atak:11921)

https://www.borla.com/products/camar...rt__60605.html

I am going to try to cut the stock pipe from my NPP, and weld them into my 11921 Atak with NPP deleted. It should work.

Anyone wanna give some inputs in regards to this??
