Dealer Offer
I'm looking to trade in. Chevy dealer is offering $36K for my 1LE. About 3,700 miles, ceramic coat, summit white.
Is this good deal, for a trade in that is? |

Any chance you can share what you are getting next to replace the 1LE? Just curious. |

I think that is a good price. If I was selling my 1le I would take that price

Given what you can get a brand new 2018 SS 1LE for ... I'd say that's a great price.
Assuming it's not wrapped up in a trade-in deal that is obfuscating the numbers, of course. |

As a point of reference, I just traded in my '16 2ss, 4000 miles, for 34,500 on a zl1. My car was pretty optioned out/clean. I think it was a good deal, especially considering I paid 36000 new about 8 months ago.

if the ZL1 is 70k, and you owe nothing on your car you are trading in. 70k-36k = 34K, you're paying roughly 3.4K in taxes. total price owed is 34k+3.4k=37.4k lets say you sell the car yourself for 39k. 70k + 7k taxes = 77k - 39k from the sale= 38k in this example you'd save 600 bones by trading it in. Obviously if you owe a lot on the car you're trading in, this "tax savings" goes away. |
