The picture of the blue RS does look like it has the LED (SS) headlights. The white one shows them

I saw that a while back, these photos are indeed renderings. The blue photo was from the Camaro builder on Chevy's site back when it was still live and they never fixed it.

OP I understand this is the USA and you're free to modify your car as you please (as long as it doesn't affect emissions-LOL), and I realize may be difficult to buy (I think), a new RS but when did it become O.K. to rebadge? It does not sit right with me to create Camaro's that are not what they appear to be.
Contrary to what we think about our cars, OP you will not likely keep this car forever.
Therefore, at some point it will be sold, and the end result will be someone being fooled into buying a car with a very muddy history. That person will likely believe it is a RS model. I know a little investigation into deciphering the VIN would reveal what the car is, but many impulse car buyers buy with their eyes. The seller will benefit from this misinformation.
As an enthusiast, I don't approve of "clones" or fake cars dressed up to be something they are not. It dilutes the value of legitimate cars made in limited numbers and diminishes public trust.
IMHO if you want an RS, buy one.

Maybe he couldn't find one in the color he wanted, as a previous post says:

"ALL FEATURES INCLUDED WITH RS PACKAGE:
20" 5-split-spoke premium Gray-painted, machined-face, aluminum wheels on LT models
Signature LED lighting
Dark tint taillamps
Black front and rear bowtie emblems
RS-specific front grilles
Decklid-mounted lip spoiler on Coupe models (Stanchion spoiler standard on Convertible models)
Body-color fin-style antenna on 1LT, 2LT and LT1 Coupe (standard on 3LT Coupe and all Convertible models)"

All of that could be ordered and added to a non RS car very easily thus making it an RS, its not like there is an engine, transmission, break or suspension difference like adding on a SS/LE/ZL1, its literally all just styling.

I agree with all of that, but as I said that's just my humble opinion on the subject. While it may have been suggested the OP couldn't find his color of choice, what the OP said was he wanted to complete his RS "clone". That does not mean all the necessary parts or details would be addressed.

I need to add that John was forthright in saying up front that it's a clone, but down the road... who knows where the car will end up? I fear somebody is gonna lose.

Do you think people who do get an RS and change items that the RS package covers should also remove the RS badge? What about GM installed items that replaced the RS items?

Mine came with silver wheels instead of grey, I see a lot of people who swap out to after market tail lights and/or spoilers, other packages add different spoilers and get their badges wrapped to be closer to body color.

I've made a great deal of changes to my car visually and mechanically but I'm not gonna call it a 1LE. As I said you can do anything you want to your car, I personally don't think owners should portray their cars as something it is not.

RS

The dealer where I bought my car from wanted to save the $1900 rs option and ordered the parts separately. What he didnt realize is the grill is in fact different. But since the grill is different I wont change anything on my car. I think the run on flats was part of that RS package too.
